Jeu créé pour la Game Boy Showdown Jam 2023, en 7 jours, avec Gb studio, Open Mpt et Gimp . J'ai aussi utilisé la Game Boy Camera pour le Sprite du héros lors de l'affrontement avec le boss final.

J'ai tout créé pendant les 7 jours, sauf le sprite du hibou dans la mission 1, et la musique de la scène où on découvre le boss qui viennent de mon jeu "Dijon GameBoy"

Game created for the Game Boy Showdown Jam 2023, in 7 days, with Gb studio, Open Mpt and Gimp . I also used the Game Boy Camera for the Sprite of the hero during the confrontation with the final boss.
I created everything during the 7 days, except the owl sprite in mission 1, and the music of the scene where we discover the boss, which comes from my game "Dijon GameBoy

Le thème de la Jam étant "Friendly", je suis parti sur un méchant qui aurait dérober l'ensemble de l'amitié mondiale, avec un héros qui doit en retrouver ses cristaux fondateurs, pour pouvoir affronter le "voleur". En ce qui concerne les décors, vous verrez que j'adore les jeux tortues ninja (notamment lors de l'affrontement avec le boss), ou des plateformers comme Duck Tales, ou Darkwing Duck. J'aime aussi beaucoup la parodie et les détournements en général, comme vous le contaterez assez rapidement après avoir lancé le jeu 😊

A la base j'avais prévu un niveau avec des échelles dans l'immeuble à la fin du niveau2, et un niveau dans les égouts avant d'arriver au "boss final", mais je n'ai pas eu le temps de les implémenter 😕

The theme of the Jam being "Friendly", I went for a villain who would have stolen the whole of the world's friendship, with a hero who must find its founding crystals, in order to confront the "thief". As far as backgrounds are concerned, you'll see that I love Ninja Turtles games (especially during the confrontation with the boss), or platformers like Duck Tales, or Darkwing Duck. I also really like parody and mockery in general, as you'll see pretty quickly after launching the game 😊
Originally I had planned a level with ladders in the building at the end of level2, and a level in the sewers before getting to the "final boss", but I didn't have time to implement them 😕

J'ai remarqué que sur certains émulateurs le timer du niveau 2 fonctionnait mal, ainsi que certaines musiques, donc si vous voulez profiter du jeu au maximum, faite le sur la version en ligne itch.io, ou sur une "vraie" Game Boy 😉

I noticed that on some emulators the level 2 timer was malfunctioning, as well as some of the music, so if you want to enjoy the game to the fullest, do it on the online version itch.io, or on a "real" Game Boy 😉
